Getting an Address

So, I finally have a “presence” on the Web! I now officially own http://howtolearnbusiness.co.uk
Ok, I am a complete computer novice – I can type in website addresses, I can send an email but apart from that I refuse to bank online, am wary of what I get sent & don’t understand any jargon…but this was quite easy.
I went to a domain name provider (there are many but I’d heard about www.GoDaddy.com & 123-reg.co.uk so went on both of those, searched to see if the domain name was free & then just bought it. I knew I wanted to assign the name to this WordPress account so didn’t ask for hosting.
To get the name allocated to my WordPress account, I had to go into my account with the domain name registrar, change the “name servers” (new jargon learnt during the process!) from the ones of the domain name registrar to that of WordPress (found under http://<whateveryouraccountnameis.wordpress.com/wp-admin/paid-upgrades.php?page=domains) & within a few minutes I got an email to say it ad been changed!
